Formerly an enforcer for the mob, this little titan came to MLAR to pursue a cushier existence. Recently, one of our volunteers offered a huge Milkbone to the largest of the dogs Abel shares a pen with, & Abel, with one subtle curl of the lip & show of his teeth, ran off to his “throne” with this trophy. When he discovered it was too big for him to bite into, he simply tucked it underneath his belly to guarantee that if he couldn’t eat it, no one else would either. Loving & loveable, & good with other dogs that allow him to be “the boss”, Abel is a study in self-aggrandizement. He would love to watch shoot-‘em-ups with you on the widest screen TV, would love to curl up next to you in a king-size bed, would love to go for rides in a huge pick-up truck, & would love to share (read “take”) your super-size double cheeseburger. Unlike his Biblical namesake, Abel is willing to be everyone’s keeper & to raise cain anywhere. Although he is all personality & can’t believe his dashing & handsome looks, Abel is also willing to work for his keep. So…if you need help with your unruly Great Dane or your defiant teenager, Abel will get the job done…quickly, silently, & efficiently!!!
